Set it up in a few minutes
Install BOOX from the Shopify App Store. A short setup asks which products should show the popup and how it should look. Then you turn BOOX on in your theme editor with one click. There is no code to paste.
Each product has its own switch, so you can start with one product and add more whenever you like.
The questions are written for each product
BOOX reads the product page and your store's policies, such as shipping and returns, and writes three questions shoppers ask about that product. Each answer is short and taken only from what your store says.
You can edit every word, swap a question and change the order, and every product gets its own questions.
Shoppers can also pick Other and type their own question. You see what they wrote in your data, so you learn what the page is missing.
When the popup shows
You choose when the popup appears:
- After a number of seconds on the product page. The default is 30 seconds.
- After the shopper scrolls part of the page.
- After the shopper adds to cart and does not go on to checkout.
You can set different rules for computers and phones. The popup opens by itself at most once per visit, only after the page has finished loading, and it never blocks scrolling.
Two kinds of popup
- A regular popup opens straight to the questions.
- A mini popup is a small bar at the side of the screen that opens the questions only when the shopper taps it. It is gentler, especially on phones.
The answer and the add-to-cart button
When a shopper picks a question, the answer opens inside the popup. Under it is an add-to-cart button that takes the shopper to your store's own buy button and highlights it, so they carry on in your store's normal way.
BOOX never adds to the cart by itself and never picks a size or variant for the shopper.
The data
Your data page shows, for each product and each question:
- How many times the popup was shown.
- How many shoppers picked a question, and how many closed it without picking.
- How many bought within 7 days after answering.
- What shoppers wrote under Other.
So you see which answers led to a sale, and which questions hold shoppers back.
Design and language
BOOX uses your store's font out of the box. You can change colors, fonts, icons and sizes.
Each product's popup is shown in the language of that product, Hebrew or English, and the app's admin works in both.
Privacy and speed
Shoppers never give BOOX personal details: they tap a question, or type their own. Measurement follows the shopper's privacy choice in Shopify.
BOOX loads only after your page has loaded, and it is lighter than a single product image.
